Wellington United
We run a full year programme for talented youth players to help bridge the gap between Junior and Senior Football.  Our Premier League Team is the perfect introduction to Senior Football with a number of Ex-Central League players within the team.  From here players will have time to develop and adapt to women's football and for those who impress at trainings and games potential Central League opportunities await.

At the end of each season, we take an U19 team to Christchurch to play in the Lotto U/19 girls National Championships.  This team will be predominantly made up of Premier League players, with a few of the younger Central League players. This really is a fantastic trip and is real highlight for the girls each year.

Event Details
The Lotto U/19 Girls National Championships are held in Christchurch over Labour Weekend each year (October).

Highlights
We get to test ourselves against some of the top youth female footballers from around the country!  In addition to playing an awesome tournament, touring as a group is always a lot of fun, and we do a couple of group adventures within Christchurch of course :) Even the flights are an adventure when on tour!!

Trainings
During the season the Premier League Team train on Tuesday nights and players will have the opportunity to push themselves alongside the Diamonds Central League Players.  Specific U19 Squad training recommence 1-2 weeks after College Tournament Week allowing a short refresh for the girls.

Christchurch Costs:
As always costs will be dependent upon fundraising efforts, but also on assistance that we can get with grant applications and team organisation (securing early cheaper bookings etc).  Fortunately funding institutions tend to look fairly favourably on youth applications.  Our key expenditure will encompass flights, accommodation, training costs, tournament costs, transport and food. Without funding the cost is approximately $500 per girl (the flights average out to $250 per player over Labour Weekend).
