Wellington United

About Wellington United Football Club

Welcome to Wellington United, the friendly, family club based out of Newtown Park. Wellington United has a proud tradition, with both men's and women's teams playing at the highest level. At the junior level we have teams for all ages, and offer both mixed football on Saturday mornings, and  girls only on Sundays. We draw players mainly from Clyde Quay, Kilbirne, Newtown, Houghton Valley, Hataitai, Roseneath, Lyall Bay, EBIS and SWIS schools, but others travel from far and wide to wear the orange and blue of Wellington United.

What we offer:
  • A great group of enthusiastic coaches focused on making football a fun and rewarding experience
  • Competitive subs, with discounts for more than one child, and for girls wanting to play on both Saturdays and the Sunday girls league
  • School Holiday Programme
  • Social events through the season, for both parents and the kids
  • Fantastic clubrooms, based at Newtown Park, the best football ground in Wellington outside of the cake tin!
  • Opportunities for kids to be ball boys and girls for the senior teams, and get involved with the senior club
  • The opportunity to play football in Orange and Blue!

Coaches and Volunteers
Operation of the junior club relies on our team of volunteers. You don’t need to have children to be a part of the Wellington United football family. If you are interested in managing a junior team, learning to coach juniors or even just helping out on the day, please contact us and let us know how you would like to help. We would love to have you on board!

If you have any questions, or want to learn more about the club, then feel free to email wellingtonunitedjuniors@gmail.com
