The Alliance is a collaboration between both Wellington United Juniors and Brooklyn Northern United Junior Football Club. The aim of our Alliance is to give our players that wish to, an opportunity to train twice a week with at least one session ran by one of our professional coaches. Our Alliance Teams are placed in grades that suit their ability so they play against opposition of a similar level so each player gets the right amount of challenge and fun! To see the difference between our Alliance and Club teams please see our information chart here.
All our Alliance Teams follow the philosophy of both our clubs which means:
Alliance Teams are generally available through Under 9 to Under 13. Alliance Team players are committing to training two times per week and a weekend game. At least one training session during the week will be ran or supported by our qualified coaches.
We encourage all players who want to be involved in our Alliance Teams to come along to our Pre-Season Skill Sessions. These generally run at the end of February each year.
Costs
There is an additional cost on top of season fees to be part of an Alliance Team due to the use of professional coaches and extra training sessions. The Alliance is run at no profit and we endeavour to keep the costs as low as possible.
Wellington United are keen to support sporting opportunities irrespective of ability to pay. Assistance may be available through our scholarship programme for those with genuine financial hardship. Please contact [email protected] if you would like to discuss whether assistance may be available. All enquiries will be kept in the strictest confidence.
