Whether you want to grab a coffee while walking your pup, or a bite to eat, or catch a flick; Empire is the place to be! Fittingly Pat has signed on as a sponsor for two of our gems; the Sapphires AND the Diamonds! We spoke to Pat about wanting to provide a more seamless transition for our players as they move between our women's 1st and 2nd teams; and without hesitation Pat put his hand up to sponsor jerseys for not just the Sapphires, but the Diamonds as well!"
"As a club, we see our Sapphires team as a very important stepping stone to the Diamonds. Players grow and mature at different rates; and where possible younger players benefit greatly from progressing through our Sapphires team. This allows players time to adjust to playing senior football, before progressing to playing with the Diamonds. Just ask players like current NZ U20 player Charlotte Wilford Carroll who came through our Sapphires team along with a good handful of our current Diamond players!"
