At Wellington United we firmly believe in the power of football in bringing our community together.
In 2014 we started up a scholarship fund to assist families with limited financial means, to ensure that they were still able to enroll their children in the beautiful game of football :) Overtime we received support by Spark and the Red Cross; this programme proved a massive success! Fast forward to 2020 and the "Football for All" programme was launched by Football For the Community Development Trust in association with the Phoenix. This programme follows the same ethos as our scholarship fund. We are proud to be one of the clubs working with the Trust to ensure that children from this programme are welcomed with open arms into our teams :) You can read more here!
