Game Days (for Girls game day information please click here)
- Game Days are on Saturdays mornings from 9:15am - 10:15am.
- Game Day draws are published to our website throughout the season.
- Game Day venue is Newtown Park 2.
- The players will play 4 x 12 min games. A hooter or whistle will signal the start of play.
- In this grade, teams play 5-a-side, with no goalkeepers, and on a small pitch.
- Our Fun Football Coordinators will be present at game days and each team is support by our Good Sort Coaches :)
- BONUS | In 2025 we are aiming to finish each Game Day with our famous Club BBQ (weather dependent) for all Under 7 and 8 kids who want to stick around and have a well-earned snack! Each team will rotate the responsibility for the BBQ, so it will be great to have all parents involved in helping out 😊.
- Every 4 weeks or so there will be a Festival Day, where we will either host or travel to other clubs in Southern Wellington.
- The other parks for our Festival Days are generally Miramar Park and Wakefield Park (Island Bay).
- Festival Days will be advised and communicated through our club emails and through each Good Sort Coach.
- Festival Draws are posted online through the Capital Football Website.
- The starting time may be different to our normal start time, although this will still be Saturday morning.

Trainings - Golazo Skill Sessions
We really love our Golazo Skill Development Sessions! These sessions are indoors at the Akau Tangi Centre and are led by our qualified coaches :) They also offer our parents and guardians a nice reprieve from the winter elements.
Generally these sessions will run on Mondays from 4:00pm.
All Under 7 & 8 players are welcome, and train together. The kids will go through fun footballing activities, based on a Station Rotation, and we will always incorporate some small sided games as well! Our qualified Coaches and Good Sort Coaches will lead these activities.
We have a weekly theme and skill focus; which will be the core footballing skills that we are focusing on. We welcome parents to support their children in practicing these skills and provide encouragement and praise when the kids both attempt and demonstrate these skills during games :)

Teams and Coaches
Each team will have a designated good sort Coach (who will be a parent volunteer), who will work with the players on Game Days and where possible they will assist during our Trainings as well. To help share the love, we encourage co-coaches across each team where possible.
Our good sort Coaches help to ensure that we have a fantastic training and playing environment for our kids.
We are always on the look out for more good sorts, so if you are keen to get involved please let us know :)
We will place children into teams before the first game day of the season and will advise you of their team.
