The Wellington United Golazo Academy offers players the opportunity to access regular training sessions with our Accredited Coaches. The Academy is open to players from Under 8 and above and are run together with coaches and players from both Wellington United and Brooklyn Northern United. The Programmes that we run, are communicated directly with our players throughout the year.
Below are the Golazo Academy Programmes that are currently running. Each Programme follows a tailored and enjoyable training curriculum.
INSEASON PROGRAMMES*
Golazo Academy Skills - Mixed U8-U9 | Term 2 + Term 3
Open to all players from Under 8 through to Under 9, these sessions provide players a weekly training contact in addition to their weekend gamedays. The aim of the sessions will be for the kids to have fun and learn/embed good football technique, football habits and game insight through small-sided games.
Thursdays 4pm-5pm
Wakefield Turf
Thursday 30th of April - Thursday 20th August (excluding school and public holidays)
Cost $150 for players outside of Wellington United.
Golazo Academy Skills - Mixed U10-U11 | Term 2 + Term 3
Open to all players from Under 10 through to Under 11, these sessions provide players with an additional weekly contact.
The aim of the sessions will be for the kids to have fun and learn/embed good football technique, football habits and game insight through small-sided games and are run by our Accredited Coaches.

Training sessions will emphasize cohesion and game play as well as continuing to embed good football technique and habits in a fun and engaging environment and are run by our Accredited Coaches.

This is a full year programme is suited to competitively minded U13 female players.

There is an additional cost on top of normal fees to be involved in the Golazo Academy and Golazo Skills Programmes (unless stated otherwise). Enrolment into these programmes and payment is done through the link below / Friendly Manager.
Wellington United is keen to support sporting opportunities irrespective of ability to pay. Assistance may be available for those with genuine financial hardship. Please contact [email protected] if you would like to discuss whether assistance may be available. All enquiries will be kept in the strictest confidence.
*Programmes will be run, numbers permitting. If a programme is unable to go ahead, an alternative option and/or refund will be provided.
