Wellington United Good Sorts (Our awesome volunteers!)
It can be a fascinating world behind the scenes in a football club and we invite those who are passionate about our beautiful game, our community and/or their children, to join our Good Sorts family :) Our family is full of awesome people who contribute to their community through Wellington United AFC. Whatever your skill set may be, we will certainly have a role for you!
National League Opportunities - We want you!
Matchday Ground Crew | You will be in charge of making sure our home is looking pristine and everything is ready for action. Everything from the ground setup, to the dugouts, to the scoreboard, to our matchballs, you will possess a great eye for detail and will take delight in being a part of the pre-match buzz.
Player Mascots and Ball Crew | Ideally you will be aged between 9 and 14, and you will be in charge of keeping our Diamonds grounded prior to the match. You will then be a part of the action, helping the game to flow with quick ball recovery throughout the match. We will ensure that you receive a snack and drink at half time and you will get a match day uniform to borrow as well!
Clubrooms Host | Food and Beverages are your jam and you want to help to make sure that our players, staff and supporters are fed and watered.
Commentary - Paid Opportunity | Have you got a sound knowledge of football, know the who's who of women's football (or can learn quickly!), and have the gift of the gab? This year we are in charge of providing matchday commentary for our home game broadcasts and would love your help to make sure that we do this role justice!
Team Manager - Saturday 9th November | You will learn from the very best in the form of Justine Empson. You will then lead the charge on Saturday the 9th of November helping set up and be a part of our players matchday routine.
National League - Plus 1s
Photographers | Although we have an official team photographer, we absolutely love to help promote the visibility of both women's football and the work of our local photographers who capture the action! If you attend any of our games, get in touch so we can share your handywork and help to promote you too :)
Videographer | Keen to explore what you can do in terms of videography? We are looking to expand our media team over the Women's National League, and if football and film are passions of yours, you might be just who we are looking for!
If you are interested in any of the above roles, please let us know!
