It is with great sadness that we advise of the passing of our club treasurer, Simon (Sy) Richardson who passed away on Friday 24th January after a period of illness.
Sy served as our treasurer for the last year and has played a major role in helping the club get their finances into a comfortable state.
As well as Wellington United, Sy had a great love for Liverpool and the Wellington Phoenix. A stalwart member of the Yellow Fever he would often travel to games in Australia as well as attending every home game.
Sy's brother is our chairman Dave Richardson and our thoughts and love are with him and his family
Sy was cremated privately yesterday with a public memorial to be held in coming weeks.
