Alliance Teams
The Alliance is a collaboration between both Wellington United Juniors and Brooklyn Northern United Junior Football Club. The Alliance gives our players that wish to, an opportunity to play in Premier Leagues and the strongest competition possible. This helps ensure that players play with those of similar ability and therefore in an appropriate grade. Overall, this benefits all players whether they are in our Club or Alliance Teams.
While Alliance Teams aim to play in the Premier Leagues, they still follow the philosophy of both clubs which means:
- Equal playing time for everyone
- Player rotation around positions
- Emphasis on fun and enjoyment
Alliance Teams are generally available through Under 9 to Under 15. Players must trial to play in an Alliance Team. Two trials are held generally at the end of February or early March each year. To see the difference between our Alliance and Club teams please see our information chart here.

Costs
There is an additional cost on top of season fees to be part of an Alliance Team due to the use of professional coaches and extra training sessions. The Alliance is run at no profit and we endeavour to keep the costs as low as possible.
Wellington United are keen to support sporting opportunities irrespective of ability to pay. Assistance may be available through our scholarship programme for those with genuine financial hardship. Please contact wellingtonunitedjuniors@gmail.com if you would like to discuss whether assistance may be available. All enquiries will be kept in the strictest confidence.
